Patrol Division

The deputies assigned to Road Patrol perform conventional law enforcement duties. These duties include traffic enforcement, response to complaints and alarms, patrolling the roadways of the County, apprehending criminal suspects and providing assistance to outside agencies, stranded motorists and the general public as needed.

The majority of the deputies assigned to the Patrol Division are assigned to General Road Patrol, though some deputies are assigned specific duties and responsibilities within the above duties, such as Traffic Enforcement and K-9 Handler.

Several deputies of the Kalkaska Sheriff Office have received additional specialized training in many areas of Law Enforcement including Traffic Crash Investigation, Impaired Driving Enforcement, and SWAT to name a few.
