General Patrol
The deputies assigned to General Road Patrol are the main Law Enforcement officers for the Kalkaska Sheriff Office.
The General Road Patrol Deputies respond to incidents and complaints that occur anywhere in the county. A General Road Patrol Deputy is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In addition to the everyday responsibilities of monitoring traffic, answering complaints and intiating investigations, General Patrol Deputies often affect warrant arrests and serve civil process paperwork.
General Road Patrol Deputies also perform the following checks: sex offender registration requirements, parole and probation, vacation properties and safety/welfare.
